Healing Through Food
Food is the cornerstone of good health!
Food has been a passion of mine since I graduated from BTI (Body Therapy Institute) in 1993.
I learned so much about how the body functions and what is needed to support the health of our physical system. I practiced massage therapy for 12 years and found that so much of our health can be traced back to what we ate as children and how that formed how we eat as adults. The other very important part of eating habits has to do with the environments in which we ate, whether it was calm or tumultuous. Were people social and enjoying eating or were they angry and arguing? These create a digestive pattern in how we digest our food and how we enjoy the food. Depending on our food and eating experience we can all change to a more calm and healthy way of eating!
The health of the physical system starts with what goes in. Good nutrition has everything to do with simplicity and good sense. If it didn't grow in a rich naturally enhanced patch of earth or have a healthy life and good care then it probably isn't worth eating. And if the ground wasn't carefully tended without chemicals and pesticides then it probably isn't as healthy a choice as we can make. So fruits, veggies, protein (vegetarian or not) lots of clean water and herbal teas with some supplementation when needed is my protocol.
But sometimes our bodies need more support because of stress induced conditions such as low adrenal function, low or high thyroid function, elevated blood pressure, digestive disorders etc. All of these can be changed and brought back into balance with good nutrition and healthy practices. I work with my clients by addressing food intake first then supplements later and encourage herbal teas as a way to bring balance back to the body. I use a muscle testing technique with a pendulum to target the exact supplements and herbs that are applicable to the bodies needs at the time.
I find that my clients get good results in less than 2 weeks, sometimes faster, so don't hesitate to start on a new path of healthy choices for your body!
